Raise a pilot.
Not a passenger.

In six one-on-one sessions with Hong Kong airline pilots, your child takes real cockpit controls, flies a full circuit, and lands a simulated first solo — the first step on the clearest pathway from curiosity to an airline career.

One-on-one with airline pilots · HKPAPA Aviation Training Center, Kowloon Tong

01 · The outcome

The cockpit changes who they are — long before it changes what they do.

Parents don't enrol for the simulator. They enrol for the child who walks out of it.

🎖️

Confidence — trusted with an aircraft

A child who has been handed the controls of a real cockpit — and delivered — carries themselves differently. In class, on stage, everywhere. It's a confidence no classroom can hand out.

🧭

Discipline — calm under pressure

Checklists, procedures, decisions at 90 knots. Students adopt the way pilots think — focused, structured, composed — and bring it home to schoolwork, exams and life.

🎯

Direction — a goal worth years of work

"I'm going to be a pilot" is an identity, not a hobby. It gives a young person a reason to study harder, sleep earlier and aim further — with a real pathway under it.

STEM · STEAM · THE AI ERA

Aviation is STEAM education at full throttle — physics, maths, meteorology and engineering applied in one seat. And it trains the one thing AI will never replace: human judgment and command.

02 · The programme

Six sessions. One first solo.

Every session is one-on-one with an airline pilot in a Cessna C172 cockpit simulator: 30 minutes of theory, 30 minutes flying. Real training standards, adapted for young learners.

Take command of the cockpit

Controls, instruments, taxi. Your child sits in the pilot seat from minute one — and learns the pilot's first rule: the aircraft does what you tell it.

First takeoff

Power, rotation, climb. The moment the nose lifts is the moment most students decide they want more.

Turns, headings and altitude

Holding a heading while managing altitude teaches divided attention and precision — the pilot's core skill.

Flying the circuit

Downwind, base, final. Students learn real airport procedures and start thinking ahead of the aircraft.

Approach and landing

The hardest skill in flying, broken into calm, repeatable steps. Flare, touchdown, rollout — theirs.

The simulated first solo

A full circuit flown and landed independently under supervision. A milestone they will talk about for years — and the gateway into AAP.

Graduation: HKPAPA completion certificate, flight record, and a recommendation into the AAP pathway.

04 · Why HKPAPA

Built by the pilots your child wants to become.

🛫

Airline pilots, not hobbyists

Every instructor is a pilot. Every technique, procedure and correction follows real training standards.

👤

One-on-one, always

No groups, no waiting for a turn. Each session moves at your child's pace — which is why progress is so fast.

🏛️

Our own training centre

Delivered at the HKPAPA Aviation Training Center in Kowloon Tong — our own facility, our own standards, our own instructors.

🧭

A pathway, not a trial

Casual "experiences" end at the door. This connects to AAP, SPL and cadet preparation — a route to the career itself.

05 · From the flight deck families

Parents see it after two sessions.

Mother of a 9-year-old After the second lesson, my son became noticeably more focused and confident. He kept telling us he can really fly the plane now. This programme gave him discipline I've never seen from any other activity.

Mrs. LeeParent
Father of a 13-year-old The one-on-one training with airline pilots is priceless. My daughter learned how to stay calm, follow procedures, and think like a pilot. The Summer Programme is already the next step for us.

Dr. ChanParent
Student, age 15 I flew a full circuit on my own during the final session. It made me believe I can really become a pilot one day. This programme changed how I see myself.

Six hours that a child talks about for six years.

Parents rarely remember what they spent on a term of piano. They remember whether the child kept playing. What makes this different is not the simulator — it's that at the end your child has done something difficult, alone, and been told by a professional that they did it well.

That is a very hard feeling to buy, and a very easy one to build on.

Everything included. Nothing required.

No experience needed. No equipment to buy. Your child arrives curious and leaves with a certificate — and usually, a plan.

Questions parents ask first

What age can my child start?
From age 4. The programme adapts real airline training standards for young learners, one-on-one with professional pilots. No experience — and no equipment — is required.
Is this a game or real pilot training?
Real training. Students fly a Cessna C172 cockpit simulator using genuine pilot techniques — taxi, takeoff, circuits, approach and landing — taught by English-speaking pilots to real training standards. It is a foundation course, not entertainment.
How does this lead to the Summer or Winter course?
The Simulator Programme is step one of a complete pathway. Graduates progress into the Summer or Winter Programme (ages 8+), then SPL and cadet pilot preparation — all under the same association of 2,000+ airline pilots.
Is this good STEM / STEAM education?
Aviation is applied STEM at full throttle: physics, mathematics, meteorology and engineering used in real time, in one seat. It also builds what AI cannot replace — judgment, composure and command. Many parents enrol for exactly that.
What happens at the end of six sessions?
Your child flies a full circuit and lands independently under supervision — a simulated first solo. They receive an HKPAPA completion certificate, a flight record, and a recommendation into the AAP pathway.
Can sessions fit around school?
Yes. Intake runs all year and scheduling is flexible — message us with the days and times that work for your family and we'll build the six sessions around them.

Every airline pilot was once a child who was handed the controls.
