A government-recognised CAAC licence, trained to airline standards by airline pilots — at a fraction of the cost and commitment of overseas flight training.
Flexible start dates · 8–52 weeks · English, Cantonese or Mandarin
Most flight schools exist to sell flight hours.
HKPAPA does not.
Our training uses clear pricing, structured supervision and simulator-based performance reviews — so progress is measured and supported, rather than extended through additional paid flying.
Without the cost of overseas training — or the risks of informal GA schools.
China's first all-composite training aircraft, equipped with a full-aircraft ballistic parachute system — the highest level of protection in an emergency.
Led by airline captains following airline standard operating procedures, so what you learn transfers directly to real-world operations.
Clear pricing and simulator-based performance reviews. Progress is assessed honestly, before more flight time is ever added.
We develop discipline, leadership and problem-solving — the traits that give students an edge in academics, careers and cadet interviews.
Delivered in English, Cantonese or Mandarin — so nothing is lost in translation at 3,000 feet.
Clear progression visibility toward cadet pilot pathways and aviation careers — with mentoring the whole way.
We're the middle ground: you pay for supervision and structure, not for uncertainty or for hours.

This is not simulated or staged flying. Students fly real aircraft under disciplined supervision, learning how to think, decide and manage risk in real flight conditions.
Progress is assessed through structured reviews and simulator sessions, so students understand exactly where they stand before more flight time is added.
Flying skill gets you airborne. Training builds the judgement, discipline and decision-making assessed in cadet interviews — not just stick-and-rudder ability.
Ten subjects covering everything you need for both the theory exam and real flying — taught by airline pilots, not textbook readers.
The regulatory minimum for licence issuance — and the number most of our students actually complete the course within.
The physics of flight and aerodynamics.
Key regulations and pilot responsibilities.
Chart reading, plotting, navigational aids.
Weather patterns, forecasts, flight planning.
Systems and performance.
Weight, balance and fuel calculations.
Fatigue, decision-making, situational awareness.
Emergency protocols and best practice.
Communication and standard phraseology.
Cockpit instruments and their functions.
A licence is not a certificate. It is permission — to walk out to an aircraft, take someone you love with you, and go somewhere.
We joined because my son loved aviation. We did not expect the transformation. His discipline, confidence and maturity skyrocketed. After earning the CAAC-issued SPL licence and receiving the HKPAPA flight report, he suddenly became a top candidate for advanced training and even cadet programmes.
The biggest difference with HKPAPA is access — real airline captains training us, real aircraft, real CAAC licensing. My friends couldn't believe I was flying at 17. The certificate and recommendation letter made me stand out immediately.
My daughter completed the programme, got her SPL licence, and was invited to join HKPAPA as a ground school assistant. This put her years ahead of other students her age. HKPAPA gave her a competitive edge I could never have created alone.
Our aircraft, our students, our airfield — no stock photography.

Most families compare our fee to a flight school's tuition. That's the wrong comparison — tuition is the smallest line in an overseas licence.
| What you actually pay | HKPAPA SPL | Typical overseas licence |
|---|---|---|
| Training fee | HK$150,000, all in | Tuition only — extras billed separately |
| Flights | None. You stay in Hong Kong | Return airfares, often several |
| Accommodation for 3–6 months | Optional, from ¥552 a night when you fly | Rent for the whole course, paid regardless of weather |
| Living costs abroad | You live at home | Food, transport, insurance, visa |
| Time off school or work | Weekends and blocks — keep your job | Months away. Unpaid. |
| Risk of paying for extra hours | Reviewed in the simulator first | More hours is how the school makes money |
| If it doesn't work out | You're an hour from home | You're stranded, mid-course, overseas |
The fee is the whole cost. That is the difference — and it's why we publish the extra-hour rate instead of hiding it.
30 hours is the regulatory minimum, and most students finish within it. Flying is skill-based — if you need more hours to reach the safety standard, they're charged at the published rate of HK$4,000 per flight hour. No surprises, no pressure to buy hours you don't need.
