- Respond only when the two symbols are identical. A second press for the same matching display is an error.
- Start with deliberate responses. Keep your gaze on both symbols, not the moving sliders. Compare valid response times alongside false responses and missed matching displays.
- A fast response to the wrong cue is still an error. Anticipating the next display can create false alarms.
