The Hong Kong Professional Airline Pilots Association (HKPAPA) is a professional platform made up of over 2,000 industry pilots and aviation professionals, dedicated to advancing local aviation education, talent development, and policy advocacy — nurturing the next generation of aviation talent for Hong Kong.

Each year, we partner with primary, secondary, and universities across the city to offer free aviation talks and flight experience activities, led by volunteer airline pilots who share their real-world experience and inspire students with professional guidance. Over 20,000 students are engaged annually, and more than 1,200 students take part in sponsored or self-funded real flight experiences, personally guided one-on-one by active commercial pilots — helping them take their very first step into the skies.

Founded by a group of aviation experts. Our training sessions are delivered by senior airlines management, current and retired airline pilots, local airlines human resources director, and aviation physiologist.

Our aim is simple - to increase the local homegrown pilot population in Hong Kong, in support of the Hong Kong International Airport expansion plans to meet future demands. Our programmes are well designed to develop outstanding future leaders in aviation and beyond. In so doing, we play a critical role in building a better aviation hub for our next generation, for our passengers and for our communities.

Our Members

Our international team of experienced pilots operate aircraft ranging from corporate jets (Global 7500), low-cost carrier (Airbus A32X) and legacy carrier (Airbus A330/A350/A380 & Boeing 747/777).
