FIRST SOLO PROGRAMME

WHAT AIRLINES ACTUALLY LOOK FOR
Cadet panels don’t ask:
“Do you like flying?”

They ask:
-
Why does an aircraft yaw during power changes?
-
What is P-factor, and when does it matter?
-
How does energy management affect safety?
-
Can you apply theory, not recite it?
Most candidates collapse here.
This programme fixes that.
PREPARE
Become the candidate airlines notice.
Real flight experience.
Airline-style training.
Not theory in isolation — but knowledge applied in the cockpit, under pressure, with discipline.
This is what separates serious candidates from hopeful ones.
PERFORM
Fly solo with confidence — and credibility.
You don’t just fly solo.
You fly solo with structure.
Master:
-
Modern glass-cockpit operations
-
SOP discipline
-
Calm, methodical decision-making
This is the mindset airlines expect — and immediately recognise.
PROGRESS
A pathway beyond “experience”.
Your First Solo is not the end.
It’s the start of a real pilot journey.
Progress seamlessly into:
-
Continued structured training
-
Sport Pilot Licence (SPL)
-
A genuine, recognised pilot licence — not a dead end
This is continuity, not a one-off.

20 HOURS — GROUND SCHOOL
Taught in airline-standard English, covering 9 core pilot foundations, fully aligned with PPL theory, including:
-
Aerodynamics — operational, not simplified
-
P-factor, torque, slipstream & asymmetric effects
-
Energy management, stability & aircraft performance
-
Flight instruments & glass cockpit fundamentals
-
Human factors, situational awareness & decision-making
-
Basic meteorology & weather interpretation
-
Air law & operational discipline
-
Navigation principles & flight planning logic
-
Aircraft systems & limitations
This is not memorisation.
It is PPL knowledge taught the way airline pilots actually use it — so you can explain, apply, and defend your thinking in interviews.
This is knowledge that shows maturity, not trivia.

Jason — HKU Alumni
Before joining, I failed my cadet interview twice. After my first solo and HKPAPA’s technical prep, I finally understood what ‘airline-ready’ means. Passed my next interview.
Michelle — Fresh Graduate
I wanted confidence. This programme gave me structure, discipline, and a mindset shift. My solo flight changed how I see myself.
Ryan — Career Switcher
Simulator access, instructors always available, airline SOPs from day one. Nothing in Australia compares. First Solo was the best investment I’ve made.
