SPL | Ground School (HKPC)

Cancellation Policy

By booking or attending any SPL Ground School session (“Session”), you agree to the following terms. All fees are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable and non-cancellable, except where required by Hong Kong law. HKPAPA may refuse or delay flight training if required Ground School is incomplete, with no refund or compensation. Punctuality Students must arrive on time. A late arrival of more than 10 minutes or failure to attend may be treated as a no-show. No-show Sessions will be recorded as completed with no refund, no credit and no rebooking. Rescheduling by HKPAPA Ground School may be affected by instructor availability, room changes, operational needs or safety considerations. HKPAPA may change, postpone or reschedule Sessions at its sole discretion. An alternative time may be offered, which is the student’s sole remedy. HKPAPA is not liable for travel, transport or related expenses. Rescheduling by Student Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability. Requests within 48 hours, or non-attendance for any reason, will be treated as a no-show. Safety and Conduct Students must follow all instructions issued by instructors and HKPAPA staff. HKPAPA may refuse, suspend or terminate participation without refund if the student behaves in a disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate manner. Students must ensure they are medically and physically fit to participate. If a student damages any HKPAPA property, simulator, equipment or facilities due to negligence, misconduct or failure to follow instructions, the student agrees to pay all repair or replacement costs. Assumption of Risk Ground School may involve motion-based simulators or training equipment that can cause discomfort or motion sensitivity. Participation is voluntary and at the student’s own risk. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, HKPAPA and its directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers and agents (“Protected Parties”) shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage or expense arising from or connected with the Session, except in cases of proven gross negligence. Students agree not to bring claims against individual Protected Parties. Any permitted claim may only be brought against HKPAPA as an entity, and liability is limited to the Ground School fee paid. Governing Law These terms are governed by Hong Kong law with exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
