Where airline pilots are forged

Training starts with theory, then moves straight into full-motion, airline-grade simulators, randomly assigned — exactly as in real airline operations.

Active airline pilots return every six months for proficiency checks, training in scenarios where procedures are tested under pressure: severe weather, system failures, and complex emergencies.

This is where theory meets reality —
and where professional pilots stay sharp.

Airport Ops

IMG_0771.jpg

Where flight really begins.

Go behind the scenes of a working airport — hangars, aprons, aircraft, and the control.

See how aircraft are prepared, moved, and controlled on the ground and in the air — and how precise coordination keeps everything safe, on time, and in sequence.

This is aviation from the inside.
No simulations. No theory. Real operations.

Your first time at the controls.

This is not a sightseeing flight.
Under a licensed instructor, you take control of a real fixed-wing aircraft.

You feel the response.
You see the horizon move.
You understand, instantly, what flying really means.

For many, this is a first flight.
For some, it’s the moment everything changes.

By registering for, attending, or participating in the Programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Rules & Regulations, the Risk, Safety, Liability and Legal Notice, and the full Terms & Conditions. Participation constitutes unconditional acceptance of these terms. If you do not fully accept them, do not register, do not attend, and do not participate in the Programme. No participation is permitted without acceptance.

Live Operational Environment The Programme involves access to live and restricted aviation operational environments, including but not limited to airport restricted areas, aprons, hangars, training facilities, aircraft, simulators, vehicles, ground equipment, and other controlled zones. These are not public areas and may involve moving aircraft, machinery, vehicles, equipment, personnel, and changing operational conditions.

Mandatory Compliance with Instructions All participants must strictly comply at all times with instructions, procedures, safety requirements, and directions issued by HKPAPA, instructors, staff, host organisations, airport or airline personnel, security staff, or any other authorised personnel. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal, restriction of access, or termination of participation without refund.

Acknowledgement of Inherent Risks Participants acknowledge and understand that aviation activities and environments involve inherent, serious, and unavoidable risks, which may include risks that cannot be eliminated even with careful planning, supervision, or safety procedures. Such risks include, without limitation, risks of serious personal injury, permanent disability, or death, as well as damage to property.

Effect of Misconduct or Non-Compliance Participants acknowledge that any failure to follow instructions, procedures, or safety requirements, or any misconduct, negligence, reckless behaviour, or distraction, materially increases risk to themselves and others. Participants who are unable or unwilling to comply fully must not register or participate in the Programme.

Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk Participation in the Programme is entirely voluntary. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each participant knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks arising out of or in connection with participation in the Programme, whether such risks are known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, and whether arising from the acts or omissions of the participant, other participants, or third parties.

Personal Responsibility and Fitness Each participant confirms that they are medically, physically, and mentally fit to participate and that they are solely responsible for their own conduct, attentiveness, and personal safety at all times. Participants remain responsible for assessing their own limits and must immediately follow instructions to stop or withdraw if directed.

Zero-Tolerance and Reporting  HKPAPA reserves the absolute right to deny access, remove, or exclude any participant at any time for safety, security, operational, or compliance reasons, including misconduct or non-compliance. Where appropriate, such conduct may be reported to relevant authorities or host organisations, including security or law-enforcement bodies.

Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HKPAPA, its directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, death, delay, disruption, cost, or expense arising out of or in connection with the Programme, including but not limited to matters arising from participant misconduct, non-compliance, third-party actions, operational decisions, or inherent risks of aviation environments.

Liability Cap Without prejudice to Clause 9.8, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of HKPAPA (if any) arising out of or in connection with the Programme shall in any event be limited to the amount actually paid by the participant to HKPAPA for the relevant Programme, excluding third-party costs.

Excluded Losses To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HKPAPA shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or economic losses, including loss of opportunity, travel expenses, accommodation costs, or related losses.

Release and Waiver To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participants release and waive any claims, actions, or proceedings against HKPAPA arising out of or in connection with participation in the Programme, except where such waiver is prohibited by applicable law.

Indemnity Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless HKPAPA and its personnel against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from the participant’s acts, omissions, misconduct, negligence, breach of rules, or failure to follow instructions.

Third-Party Control and No Guarantee of Access Certain Programme components are subject to the control of third-party hosts, airports, airlines, or authorities. Access to facilities or restricted areas is not guaranteed and may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time for operational, safety, weather, or security reasons.

Non-Excludable Liability Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Acceptance By registering for, attending, or participating in the Programme, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Risk, Safety, Liability and Legal Notice, the Rules & Regulations, and the full Terms & Conditions, all of which apply in full.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Rules, the Programme, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts, without prejudice to HKPAPA’s right to take proceedings in any other jurisdiction where required for enforcement or compliance purposes.

PRC Regulatory and Authority Control Participants acknowledge that activities conducted within the People’s Republic of China are subject to the control, approval, and directions of PRC governmental, aviation, security, customs, immigration, and airport authorities. Any instruction, restriction, delay, or decision imposed by such authorities shall be final and binding, and HKPAPA shall bear no liability arising from compliance with such requirements.

Immigration and Travel Documentation Participants are solely responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documents, visas, permits, and identification required for cross-border travel and participation. HKPAPA shall not be responsible for any denial of entry, delay, refusal, or consequence arising from inadequate or invalid documentation.

Insurance and Additional Coverage HKPAPA maintains insurance coverage appropriate to its operations, as required by applicable law and industry practice. Participants acknowledge that such coverage may not cover all risks or losses arising from participation. Participants are strongly advised to obtain their own personal accident, medical, travel, and liability insurance if they require additional or enhanced coverage.

Emergency Situations In the event of an emergency, participants authorise HKPAPA and its staff to take reasonable actions necessary to protect life, health, and safety, including seeking medical assistance, evacuation, or contacting emergency services. Participants acknowledge that operational decisions in emergencies may need to be made immediately and without prior notice.

Force Majeure and Safety Overrides HKPAPA may modify, suspend, relocate, or cancel any part of the Programme due to safety, weather, operational, regulatory, security, or force majeure reasons, including decisions by airports, airlines, or authorities. Such decisions shall not constitute a breach, and HKPAPA shall bear no liability arising therefrom.

Photography and Video Recording During the Programme, photographs, video recordings, and other audio-visual materials may be taken by or on behalf of HKPAPA. By registering for, attending, or participating in the Programme, participants irrevocably consent to the recording, use, reproduction, editing, adaptation, publication, and distribution of such materials for marketing, promotional, educational, publicity, archival, and related purposes, in any media and in any format, worldwide and in perpetuity. Participants acknowledge that they have no rights of approval, no entitlement to compensation, and no right of recourse in respect of the use of such materials, and waive any claims against HKPAPA arising out of or in connection with such recording or use, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Language Prevails The Chinese version is provided for reference only and is a translation of the English version. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy, the English version shall prevail.

Aviation Program Visits

Normally closed to the public. Opened for you.

This is not a conventional tour. Cadets are granted access to aviation operational environments that are rarely open to the public, offering a practical view of how the aviation industry operates under exceptionally high standards of discipline, professionalism, and control.

Through direct observation, participants gain insight into how aviation facilities, specialised roles, and safety procedures work together as a single system — and a clearer understanding of the level of responsibility and professional conduct required in the aviation profession.
