Design for the first scan
Use a simple structure: profile, relevant eligibility, education, aviation qualifications or experience, employment and selected achievements. Keep headings and dates consistent.
Recruiters should not need to search for the information the vacancy asks for. Mirror the employer’s terminology only where it truthfully describes you.
Show evidence, not adjectives
A duty or result is stronger than a trait: ‘coordinated a five-person project delivered two weeks early’ shows more than ‘good teamwork’.
For early-career applicants, part-time work, volunteering, sport and academic projects can demonstrate useful behaviours when the connection is specific.
Control accuracy and relevance
Do not inflate flying time, omit material history or invent proficiency. If a period needs explanation, state it briefly and factually.
Keep a master CV, then produce a vacancy-specific version. Remove unrelated detail that hides the evidence the airline needs.
