Before attending your aviation medical examination, please complete the steps below. These steps are important — incorrect registration details may delay or invalidate your medical. Taking a few minutes to set this up properly will save significant time and trouble later.

Register your personal account
Use your own details exactly as shown on your official documents
Check and verify your information carefully
Even small discrepancies can cause issues later. We strongly recommend having HKPAPA staff verify your details before you finalise the account.

Things to Do Before Your Medical Examination
The aviation medical is straightforward if you prepare properly.
Most issues arise not from health, but from avoidable preparation mistakes.
3 Days Before the Medical

Eat light, regular meals
Avoid overeating or unusually heavy food. -
Do not consume alcohol
Even small amounts can affect test results. -
Do not attend the medical if you are unwell
Avoid taking any medication unless medically necessary.
The Day Before the Medical

Avoid strenuous or heavy exercise

Do not eat after 8:00 p.m.

Drink water in moderation
Stay hydrated, but avoid excessive intake to ensure good sleep. -
Wash your hair before sleeping
Do not use conditioner, hair gel, or styling products.
On the Day of the Medical Examination

Attend on an empty stomach
Do not eat breakfast. Some tests require fasting (blood / stool-related checks). -
Do not drink water or take medication
Arrive with an empty bladder, unless instructed otherwise. -
Clean your ear canals

Hospital or medical records if you have had major surgery or significant trauma in the past
