What group exercises can reveal
Assessors may observe how candidates communicate, plan, manage time, resolve disagreement and maintain awareness. Speaking most is not the same as contributing most.
Help the group define the problem, organise information and reach a defensible decision. Summarising at the right moment can be as valuable as proposing an idea.
What a non-pilot simulator task may reveal
A simulator assessment can examine capacity to learn, follow instruction, coordinate controls, scan, prioritise and recover from error. It may not expect licensed-pilot technique.
Use the exact briefing you receive. Verbalise key changes if invited, keep inputs smooth and do not hide an error that the assessor can already see.
Prepare behaviours, not secret exercises
Practise concise briefings, time checks, listening, mental arithmetic, spatial orientation and reflection. Avoid unauthorised question banks or pretending to know a proprietary scenario.
After practice, ask which observable behaviour helped the team and which added workload.
