From seeing a role model to starting a conversation

Visibility matters because it gives an ambition a human face. Meeting a woman who flies professionally creates an opportunity to ask about the route she took, the challenges she encountered and what she wishes she had understood earlier. It also makes space for questions that a course brochure cannot always answer.

HKPAPA’s initiative centres on mentorship from female airline pilots, engagement with schools and a continuing professional network. Its audience includes students, women considering a career change and applicants preparing for cadet selection. Each starts from a different point; each benefits from a conversation grounded in her own circumstances.

The collection moves between participant reactions and conversations with aviation leaders.
