Explore relative bearing and wind correction.

THE QUICK BRIEF

Use the ADF pointer to track toward a fictional NDB while observing the effect of wind on the flight path.
Heading plus relative bearing gives magnetic bearing TO the station. Compare homing with maintaining a chosen inbound track.
A needle on the nose does not necessarily mean a straight ground track when wind is present.

Session format

Simplified ADF indications and flight dynamics. This exercise omits real signal errors and does not qualify a pilot for operational navigation.
