Connect GYRO and RBI indications to aircraft position.

THE QUICK BRIEF
  1. Read the GYRO heading, then the RBI bearing relative to the aircraft nose. Select both an aircraft heading and its zone around the beacon.
  2. Add heading and relative bearing to find bearing TO the beacon. Reverse that bearing by 180 degrees to locate the aircraft FROM the beacon.
  3. The RBI needle points toward the station; the answer compass describes the aircraft position around the station. Confusing these produces a reciprocal error.
